3CS Corporate Solicitors has previously held seminars in Japan on topics related to English law.
This year, we are pleased to host a joint seminar conducted in Japanese on the theme of “Comparing Dispute Resolution Systems”, featuring lawyers from three countries: Japan (Kitahama Partners), the UK (3CS Corporate Solicitors Limited), and Germany (Zipse Ludwig).
When companies face disputes across different legal systems and practices, appropriate decisions must be made based on a proper understanding of how court-based dispute resolution works in each jurisdiction.
In this seminar, we will compare the systems and recent developments in Japan, the UK, and Germany, and explain—by reference to Japanese court proceedings—key points that Japanese companies may not be fully aware of when involved in legal disputes in the UK or Germany. We will also offer practical tips to help avoid such issues.
Main Topics:
- Overview of court-based dispute resolution systems in Japan, the UK, and Germany
- Key characteristics of court-based dispute resolution in the three countries
- Points to note when resolving disputes through the courts in the UK and Germany
After the seminar, a networking session will be held where you can speak directly with the speakers.
If you wish to attend, please register via the form by Monday, August 25, 2025. Feel free to forward this information to relevant departments within your organization. If there are a large number of applicants, participation may be determined by lottery. We will notify you of your participation status after Tuesday, August 26.
